My child is on environmental allergy shots. Do we need to stop prior to treatment?

Yes, typically if your child is taking allergy shots for environmental allergies this will be converted to Sublingual Immunotherapy or SLIT.

Typically if your child is taking allergy shots for environmental allergies this will be converted to sublingual immunotherapy or SLIT used to treat environmental allergens that share proteins with food allergies. In some cases a child may be allowed to continue with the shots however it depends on the patient's specific case. Please do not make any changes until you speak to a TIP provider.
