How Does TIP Differ From Other Treatments Like OIT Or Palforzia?

TIP surpasses typical exposure therapies in the following categories: lasting patient outcomes, safety, success rate, adverse effects, treatment applications, and consistency and quality of care.

Outcomes
The Tolerance Induction Program™ (TIP) is the only lasting solution to food allergies, allowing patients with multiple, severe, or complex food allergy cases to achieve clinical remission. By the end of TIP treatment patients reach "Food Freedom" and can eat like a non-allergic person would, consuming their allergens in ANY amount without restriction.

Treatments like Oral Immunotherapy (OIT) and Palforzia, aim to desensitize the immune system and protect patients from “accidental ingestion” of their allergen through a one-size-fits-all approach. These treatments typically do not allow patients to freely eat their allergen.

Approach
OIT and Palforzia are exposure therapies, that expose patients directly to foods they are severely allergic to. In contrast, TIP never begins by introducing patients directly to their allergens. Instead, TIP uses food proteins similar in molecular structure to an allergen to gradually retrain the immune system and safely develop tolerance before introducing patients to their allergens. Additionally, all TIP patients receive a highly customized treatment plan tailored to their specific immune system.

Success & Safety
TIP has sustained a 99% success rate for those who complete treatment and adverse event rates are lower than 1%**. Most exposure therapies vary from practice to practice, have an uneven success rate, and have had adverse event rates of 20% or higher depending on the practice.

Treatment Qualifications
While most other food allergy treatment options will turn away patients with severe or multiple food allergies, TIP can treat even the most severe or complex food allergy cases!
