What is a Food Challenge?
During a food challenge, a patient is given a smaller amount of a specific food as an "introduction." A patient will also "challenge" a large volume of a food they have been building up through at-home dosing.

You will continue to give them specifically prescribed increasing amounts of this food at home.
This prepares them for a larger volume of that allergen at the time of the next in-office Food Challenge. The food introduced during this process becomes their “Treatment Food”.
