The Launch visit is one of your first TIP patient appointments.
The Launch visit is your second in-person appointment. Typically, a launch appointment is broken up across 2-5 days.
During the Launch visit, patients receive a patch test, results from previous blood testing, a customized treatment plan, and an emergency anaphylaxis plan. Patients will also take their first steps toward building tolerance with their first dose of similar proteins.
A patch test contains physical food allergens that are placed on a patient’s back for a 24-hour period. This test allows us to evaluate how a patient’s gastrointestinal tract reacts to various allergens.
Prior to their launch visit, patients will have completed a variety of other testing, including a skin prick test and blood tests.
Your custom plan will determine the duration of treatment, your at-home food dosing regime, and the order in which your specific food allergies will be treated.
